Interactive games
There are many interactive games for the Nintendo Wii, both sports and fitness
related. One of the biggest sports games is Wii Sports, which comes bundled with
most consoles, because it allows the player to play five sports which are golf,
tennis, baseball, bowling and boxing. The game is played with a sensor
controller called the Wii Remote. Players mimic the actual actions needed to
play the sport in real life. For instance, when playing baseball, the baseball
is controlled by the Wii Remote, so the player has complete control over how
fast or slow the ball goes, even the height the ball will fly. Wii Fit is
quickly becoming the most desired game on the console. It not only allows
players to have fun doing certain activities, but also allows them to maintain a
healthy lifestyle, all from the privacy and comfort of their own home. Wii Fit
offers four basic categories which are strength, yoga, aerobics and balance. It
has even been documented that some nursing homes have used Wii Fit to engage the
residents in gentle exercises. To go along with this game is an accessory called
the Wii Balance Board. This device allows players to weigh themselves, as well
as calculate body mass, among other options. With this device, it allows the
players to save all of their data so that they can record their progress of
weight loss or any other feature they may be using. The Wii Balance Board can
also be used in other games like on Poisenville, that have properties that can be just as healthy as
the actual exercising itself. There are many other interactive games that allow
the player, sometimes even an entire party, to get in on the fun and action.
